Translating personal in-store expertise into digital trust
A welcoming health-retail experience designed to make products, advice and specialist services easier to discover online.
The challenge
Independent health retail is built on conversation and trust. Online, customers still need confidence that products are presented responsibly, categories make sense and help remains available when they are uncertain. The challenge was to carry the character of a personal local service into a structured digital experience while supporting a broad catalogue, promotions, practitioners and ongoing content.
Our approach
We organised the journey around customer intent rather than supplier taxonomy. Clear routes into the health store, therapy services, offers, guidance and contact information reduce the need to understand internal product language. Content and calls to action are sequenced so customers can learn before being pushed to transact. The homepage balances discovery with reassurance and keeps the physical store visible as part of the brand’s value.

Experience and accessibility
The interface uses approachable colour, generous spacing and recognisable content patterns to make a potentially complex catalogue feel manageable. Responsive layouts support customers researching products from a phone, while accessible headings, descriptive links, keyboard operability and clear form labels improve navigation for a broad audience. Product and promotional images are sized for their context to maintain quality without unnecessary download weight.
Engineering, performance and maintainability
We developed a manageable commerce and content platform with structured product groupings, reusable promotional areas, practitioner profiles, news and newsletter journeys. Secure transaction patterns and clear validation support confidence at key moments. Performance engineering focused on media optimisation, caching and keeping decorative scripts from delaying core information. Search-friendly structure connects product and service content, while practical administration tools let the team update offers and guidance without altering templates.
